# Technical data for *ABA wall panels*

The values below describe one reinforced ABA foamed-SPC reference. They summarise the manufacturer’s July 2026 technical data sheet and the supporting fire certificate. Each result belongs to that documented product and test scope.

## The documented 6 mm ABA panel

Confirm that the production, surface, thickness and installation match the documents used for your market.

Reference panel · July 2026 technical sheet

| Characteristic | Declared reference / result | How to use it |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Nominal format | 950 × 2400 × 6 mm | Use the selected range’s dimensional tolerances and edge profile. |
| Density | 0.85 ± 0.1 g/cm³ | Declared reference density, not the density of every ABA board. |
| Nominal area | 2.28 m² per panel | Calculated from the nominal reference format; confirm working coverage and the supplied edge profile. |
| Indicative mass | 5.1 kg/m²; approximately 11.6 kg per panel | Calculated from nominal thickness and density; not a measured shipping weight. |
| Water absorption, 24 h (ISO 62) | Average ≤ 0.7% | A specified immersion result, not zero absorption or an unlimited submersion claim. |
| Thickness swelling, 24 h (ISO 24336) | Average ≤ 0.7% | Use the stated method and conditioning; wet detailing remains necessary. |
| Fungal resistance | Grade 0 under ISO 846 | The tested specimen result does not mean a maintenance-free or mould-proof room. |
| T&G joint test | No leakage after 24 h | Manufacturer protocol independently verified; scope is the tested joint configuration. |
| Reaction to fire | D-s3,d2 | Subject to the certificate’s installation and field-of-application conditions. |

## Select the format with *its own evidence*

The wider size programme and the dated 6 mm reference serve different buying decisions.

Widths of 305, 600, 950 and 1220 mm, lengths of 2400–3200 mm and thicknesses of 6–12 mm are listed in the wider reinforced-hybrid programme. Confirm the exact combination and corresponding technical file before specification.

Being inside that size range does not transfer the reference density, weight, surface results, water tests or fire classification to another product. Match the selected construction, finish, connection and installation to its evidence.

## Mechanical and surface test results

The manufacturer’s TDS-SPCWP-2026-07, dated 13 July 2026, reports the following results. The underlying laboratory reports define the full specimen, procedure and test conditions.

Mechanical and surface performance · manufacturer-reported July 2026 data

| Characteristic | Reported reference result | Method and condition |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Flexural stress | ≥ 12 MPa | ISO 178:2019. A bending-property result for the reference panel. |
| Flexural modulus | ≥ 1500 MPa | ISO 178:2019. Used alongside strength when comparing the panel’s bending behaviour. |
| Dimensional stability | Average length shrinkage ≤ 0.15% | ISO 23999; 60°C for 6 hours. A laboratory exposure, not a continuous service-temperature rating. |
| Stain resistance | Index 0 — unaffected | EN ISO 26987; 12 household chemicals after 2 hours of contact. Follow the selected finish’s cleaning guidance in use. |
| Scratch resistance | Pass ≥ 20 N | ISO 1518-1. A visible surface scratch was reported, with no penetration to the substrate. |
| Micro-scratch resistance — matt | Class ≤ MSR-B2 | EN 16094. Result for the documented matt surface. |
| Micro-scratch resistance — PET | Class ≤ MSR-B5 | EN 16094. Result for the documented PET surface; assess it separately from matt. |
| Colour fastness to light | Grade 6 | EN ISO 105-B02. A tested light-fastness result for the reference surface. |
| Dimensional tolerances | Thickness 6 ± 0.3 mm; length ± 5.0 mm; width ± 1.0 mm | July dimensional reference; ISO 24337 and EN ISO 10582 are listed in the data sheet. |

## Understand the D-s3,d2 fire classification

It is not a fireproof or non-combustible designation.

The supporting EN 15102 classification certificate identifies D-s3,d2 under EN 13501-1 for the covered product. The stated end-use condition is adhesive fixing onto A1 or A2-s1,d0 substrates. The certificate’s thickness field covers 5.2–12.2 mm; that range does not establish equivalent results for an unrelated panel.

Class D is the reaction-to-fire class. The s3 smoke classification provides no s1 or s2 smoke-performance claim; d2 does not establish the d0 or d1 limits for flaming droplets or particles. Do not specify this reference as fireproof, low-smoke or free from flaming droplets.

Check the full classification, its validity, product identification and mounting conditions against your project and local requirements. A CE or UKCA declaration is not a blanket approval for every building use or shower system.

## A useful document set

Request evidence for the actual product being ordered.

01

### Identify the product and revision

Record the construction, thickness, finish, dimensions, edge profile and technical-sheet date. The July 2026 reference takes precedence over earlier conflicting sales descriptions.

02

### Match declarations and reports

Review the applicable declaration of performance, classification and underlying test scope. Do not transfer a result from another substrate, coating, thickness or mounting arrangement.

03

### Approve the installed system

Include written adhesive, sealing and substrate instructions, sample approval, production traceability and the documentation required in the destination market.

This is a public buying reference, not an approval for a specific construction project. Controlled technical documents are supplied against the selected product and programme.

## Evidence questions

Useful limits when comparing data.

### Can I compare scratch-resistance numbers from different methods?

A higher number is not a valid ranking when the methods differ. Compare the same standard, specimen preparation, result definition and test conditions. Confirm the chosen decorative finish, since the surface can change the result.

### Does wood-free mean zero emissions or zero heavy metals?

No. Those are separate chemical and emissions questions requiring their own test evidence and limits of detection. The absence of a wood-fibre core does not prove a universal zero-emissions claim.

### Can another ABA thickness use this fire result?

Only if the complete selected product and mounting conditions fall within the classification’s documented scope. A generic thickness range cannot extend a certificate to unrelated formulations or finishes.
