The surface, considered

# Choose ABA panel *finishes and patterns*

Explore stone, marble, wood, plain, fabric, leather-look, metal-look and cement-look directions. Approve the actual surface and layout separately for the selected panel.

## Approve the decor, finish and layout

Build the range around a finished sample rather than a screen image.

01

### Decor

Explore stone, marble and other printed design directions against the actual available film range. Record the approved colour, scale, batch reference and panel orientation.

02

### Finish

Matt or matte, satin, gloss and textured descriptions need a physical reference. Confirm the surface route, gloss level, cleanability and relevant test results for the selected finish.

03

### Layout

Confirm whether the supplied design is random-cut, sequentially matched or a defined mirrored arrangement. Availability is decor- and format-specific.

## Match the surface to *the selected format*

The wider range and the documented 6 mm reference describe their finishes at different levels of detail.

01

### Matt decorative surface

The wider range diagram identifies a scratch-resistant decorative film. The separate documented 6 mm reference describes a UV-cured matt route; that does not establish the same coating for every version. Confirm the supplied surface.

02

### PET gloss surface

The high-gloss diagram shows PET over the decorative film. Digital or roller printing is selected by decor and does not imply that every design is available in both routes or every finish.

03

### Approve finish and dimensions together

Check the chosen width, thickness, edge and surface as one supplied product. The July micro-scratch results remain specific to its documented matt and PET specimens.

## Decide how the pattern continues across panels

Those are different production and installation briefs.

Random-cut panels can share one design without their veins lining up across every joint. Pattern-matched panels require an approved relationship between designated pieces, including order and orientation.

Bookmatching uses a mirrored relationship. It should be specified as its own approved arrangement, not inferred from the words “marble look”. Confirm whether continuity is intended horizontally, vertically or across a defined group of panels.

Approve a joined sample or full layout showing the exact panel count, joint positions and visual tolerances. Agree how replacement pieces will be supplied; a later random panel may not reproduce a matched arrangement.

A matched image has no bearing on the watertightness of the joint. Keep the decorative approval connected to, but separate from, installation and sealing.
